The end of 2009

What a year! Not our favourite year, but the many good things still made it a pretty good year. Here's a short year in review:

January:
- Melanie goes back to work (part time) into a new position as Director of Enrolment Management at CBC.
- Easton turns 1 year old! Big party with friends at the CBC gym.

February:
- Melanie has to travel for board meetings (NACCAP) and has to leave Easton for the first time. SO HARD!!

March:
- Mom, Dad & Heidi (Regier) visit.
- Easton takes his first steps.

April:
- Rocky takes Easton to his parent's farm while Melanie travels for work (student information system evaluations). Easton and dad have a great time travelling and working together! :-)

May:
- Melanie & Easton head to Winnipeg to visit family while Rocky takes his team BC volleyball team (18 & 19 girls) to Minneapolis for the US Open in preperation for the Canada Summer Games.

June:
- Sold our house - moved out of the house and into our condo (which we usually rent out). Settled into our new little place a few days before heading off again.
- Drove to the Olfert farm in AB to celebrate Dad Olfert's 60th birthday.

July:
- Rocky, Easton and Mel flew to Columbus, OH for the USA Mennonite Convention to represent CBC. Demants drove down for a day, and had a bit of time to relax too.
- Bought a fix-er-up-er house on Evergreen Street.

August:
- Melanie and Easton flew to Winnipeg again for a couple of weeks while Rocky was in PEI for the Canada games. So good to spend so much time with family, but hard to have Rocky away so much.

September:
- Got possesion of our house on Evergreen. We knew it would be a reno - but we had no idea what we were in store for. Erik Toews, Rocky and team started gutting and didn't finish until November!

October:
- Reno, reno, reno. Moved out of our Condo and lived with the Remple's and Boon's.
- Easton and Mel escaped briefly when traveling to Winnipeg for work and family visits.

November:
- Reno, reno, reno. Moved into our place mid-November.

December:
- Hosted a few Christmas parties, and started settling into our place.
- Flew to Orlando, FL with the Regier family.
- Flew from Orlando to Winnipeg for Christmas.
