We have had a wonderful two months since Griffin was born. The first few weeks were a difficult transition as Griffin had many fussy times and Easton cried a lot wanting our attention. It was so great to have both moms here to help at different times.
We spent the month of May away from home visiting family. It was so much fun! Griffin adjusted to life better - as did Easton - and we enjoyed spending time with our loved ones! We spent a few days at the Olfert farm where Rocky and Easton worked long hard days with Grandpa. We then drove up to Edmonton to spend a few days with Renny and Brendan and Anaya, Emery and Isla. It was great for Easton to get to know those cousins a bit better too. From Edmonton Rocky drove back home and the boys and I flew to Winnipeg for three weeks. Dad has been working out of town so it was great for mom and I to take care of the boys. There were also a lot of fun wedding activities as we got ready for Heidi & Dave's wedding May 28. We spent lots of time visiting old friends and extended family too! Easton did great meeting new friends all the time.
Heidi & Dave's wedding was a ton of fun! Easton danced until 1am - as did the rest of us. Griffin slept the night away. A perfect day. Lots of fun - a great atmosphere and so happy for Heidi!
We got back to Abbotsford May 29th and have adjusted back fairly well. I am so blessed to have two beautiful wonderful boys. Loving my days at home with them although they can be frustrating at times - they are great most of the time.

Hey Melanie. Great write-up on your travels and the wedding. The video of David and Easton is hilarious :-) I'm glad to hear the time with your mom worked out so well even without your dad there. Blessings to you on your mat leave and I'm sure we'll see you again sometime soon. By the way, Lyle said he couldn't take his eyes off of Easton as he sat so nicely at the front during the wedding ceremony.
