It's been a chaotic Fall! As many of you know, we bought a house which we got possesion of September 1. It is in our ideal location, so we are excited about that, but the reno's have turned into far more than we bargained for. I hear that's pretty common, so that makes me feel better. It's been a tough couple of months as costs increase, so many decisions that need to be made, and living out of suitcases for a month while we wait for the house to be move in ready. Living with family and friends has also been a blessing though as we have been able to spend more time with them. Amidst very busy work demands, renos, and taking care of Easton, our lives have been pretty busy! I am in Winnipeg this week with Easton for work and of course, visiting family. It's good to be away from he pressures for a bit as I leave Rocky to work hard on the house - at least he loves it!
So our new place is 2975 Evergreen Street. Close to CBC to accomodate Rocky's morning 'till night schedules. At least now he can zip home from work for dinner before going back. As always, the athletics season makes for long work days, so we are happy to be so close. We are also the last house on the street which ends at Fish Trap creek and hallmark retirement home. Lots of families and pets walking past, and great access to trails and parks. Also have to be thankful that we will have a nice new home when this is all said and done. As much as I have complained and been stressed through this, I do recognize that we are very luck and I am thankful. Easton has done amazingly well through all the changes. He adjusts so quickly and must feel secure in the fact that we are his constant - not his home. :-)
Since moving out of the Wells Gray house in June, we have lived in the condo on Holland, Rob & Lisa's (rocky's sister), and now Dan & Ang Boons - and now we are in Winnipeg with my family. He has slept well everywhere and been generally happy. Although there have been some tears when we leave for work lately. That's getting better too though. Forgot my cord to upload new picturs, but here's a video from the summer. Thanks for checking my blog! Good to hear people haven't given up on me. :-)
