Celebration Weekend

Friday was Canada day and Easton was thrilled about the parade. He had been waiting for this all week! Headed over to Roatary Stadium afterwards for family fun. E jumped on the bouncy castle, played at the Music for Young Children music tent, went on a hay ride, ate Canada's birthday cake, did gymnastics at the twisters gym station, and more.

We just got back from camping with the Remples. We lasted 2 nights but bailed on the 3rd night. It was really cold and Griffin had a hard time getting to sleep there with the noise, light and cold. Plus it was the night of the 4th and there were going to be fireworks all night long. Good decision I think. We slept sooooo good in our beds last night (even though we got home at 1:30am because we decided to leave after supper :-) All of a sudden we were packing up! It was fun though. Gorgeous beach at Long Beach WA but just too windy! Easton fell in the ocean when a big wave came too high and he was running away and tripped. Oops. He was pretty traumatized for a while. Griffin was crying because of the blowing sand and wind. Fun! But really it was still fun. Went to tour the Columbia River Armory and learned some American history, walked around the town of Long Beach, took a trolly ride through Astoria, OR, and had lots of fun at the camp fire. The kids could just run and play in the woods which they enjoyed so much.
