Is I on summer holidays?

Easton wanted to know about summer holidays and what it meant. He then asked me "is I on summer holidays?". Does it count if you don't go to school or work yet? :-) Rocky has been on holidays so we have been out and about day tripping and also got back from our two week vacation on Wednesday. Trips to cultas lake, the local beach, Krause farms, Stillwood camp to visit friends, and events around town (berry festival, touch a truck) have been lots of fun. And our favourite of all - taking a family walk at fish trap creek right out our front door.

Our holiday consisted of two weeks away from home. We went down to Everett, WA the first night and did some shopping at the outlets. From there we left for Leavenworth, WA and spent a few hours enjoying the bavarian town there

From Leavenworth we headed to Spokane for the night and stayed at a hotel with a great swimming pool (indoor and outdoor) and waterslide. Easton braved it and went down all by himself - and then of course couldn't stop he enjoyed it so much. I guess I didn't take any photos there! From there we headed back up to Canada and stayed at Fairmont Hot Springs, BC for three nights. So fun! There were several pools, spray park, waterslide, mineral springs, and a beautiful condo that we got cheap for doing a sales presentation!

Then we headed to Rocky's parents farm where all the family was. We stayed for a week and had a great time visiting with family. Easton played with cousins all day - making forts, in the swimming pool, playing in the trees and in the bales, with the dog, on the tractor and so on. Lots for kids to do on the farm - especially with older cousins creating play all day!

We also took Easton to his first movie - Winnie the Poo - in Medicine Hat where we also met my dad who is working in Swift Current for the summer.

All in all it's been a great summer so far. So glad that we still have August! Griff has been doing great these days. He loves the water. He is strong, happy, laughing lots, and kicking like crazy. So blessed to have these boys!! My cup is overflowing.
